The New Yorker Magazine, September 8 1934, the complete issue in good shape. Ilonka Karasz did the cover.
This issue includes the first publication of the Nancy Hale story "Midsummer," the James Thurber story "Thirteen Keys," and other writing by W.E. Farbstein, Richard Lockridge, Edward Hutchings Jr, Margaret Ford, Thrya Samter Winslow, Frances Warfield, James Reid Parker, Emily Hahn, and Hannah Lees.
The cartoonists include Garrett Price, Robert J. Day, Richard Decker, Gluyas Williams, Helen E. Hokinson, Gilbert Bundy, Reginald Marsh, Alain, Irvin Rea, and George Shellhase.
The pages are crisp and clean, no writing, no creases, nothing missing, tight to the staples. Strictly graded Good; it was put away when new (along with many others we have) by an obsessive New Yorker collector from whom we acquired it.
