The New Yorker Magazine, October 2 1948, the complete issue in gorgeous shape.  Constantin Alajalov illustrated the cover.  This issue includes fiction by Joseph Wechsberg ("The Singing Pharmacist"), Frank Sullivan ("The Cliche Expert Testifies on the Tabloids"), Cornelia Otis Skinner ("Backstage Performance") and more.  The pages are crisp and clean, without a hint of foxing or other staining, no writing, nothing missing, tight to the staples. Strictly graded VG/Fine- it looks new but has top right corner creasing; it was put away when brand new (along with many others we have) by an obsessive New Yorker collector from whom we acquired it, untouched since new until now. Shipped in an archival sleeve with backing board. The images show the actual magazine you will receive; we do not use stock photos, we do not touch anything up, we do not crop anything, the magazine really is that nice. We have many other beautiful New Yorkers online now so please take a look. If there is an issue you are after please let us know.
