The New Yorker Magazine, June 26, 1954, the complete issue in extraordinary shape. Ludwig Bemelmans illustrated the cover.  This issue includes the Charles Addams Family cartoon showing Gomez and Wednesday Addams with her broomstick tree swing, the first publication of the Mavis Gallant story "The Legacy," Peter De Vries' "Apple of my Eye, My Eye," and more.  The pages are crisp and clean, without a hint of foxing or any other staining, no writing, no creases, nothing missing, tight to the staples. Strictly graded Near Mint; it was put away when brand new (along with many others we have) by an obsessive New Yorker collector from whom we acquired it, untouched since new until now.  It should be in a museum.   We have many other New Yorker issues from this once-in-a-lifetime collection, so if there is one you want that you don't see in our listings yet, please let us know.
