The New Yorker Magazine, July 5, 1993, the complete issue in absolutely perfect shape. This issue includes a "Talk of the Town" piece on Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her work in the 1970s arguing sex-discrimination cases before the Supreme Court, particularly about the Supreme Court hearing on October 5, 1976. At the time of this issue's publication she had been nominated to but not yet confirmed to SCOTUS. There is also mention of her in the "Letter from Washington" feature which is primarily about Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who pushed Clinton for Ginsburg's nomination.
This is also the issue which has the famous Peter Steiner cartoon showing a dog using the internet, captioned: "On the internet, nobody knows you're a dog."
This example of The NYer is especially unusual because it has no subscription label and never did- it is not peeled off- and no UPC code. The pages are crisp and clean, without a hint of foxing or any other staining, no writing, nothing missing, tight to the staples, with creasing at the corners. Strictly graded Mint; it is in extraordinary shape, put away when brand new (along with many others we have) by an obsessive New Yorker collector from whom we acquired it, untouched since new until now. We have many other beautiful New Yorkers online now so please take a look. The images we show are of the actual magazine, we do not use stock photos.
